HMFA Finances New Affordable Housing Development in Newark's Ironbound

The five-story 100,000 square foot residential building will offer tenants a variety of amenities, including central air conditioning, energy saving design and appliances, and laundry rooms and common rooms on each floor.  Residents will also enjoy access to an 86-space parking garage and landscaped courtyard. Newark's Ironbound section, with its close proximity to several key highways, including Routes 21, 1 and 9 and the New Jersey Turnpike, was chosen as the development site for its easy access to public transportation, Newark International Airport, and the City's ports.
