Annual Thanksgiving Food and Holiday Coat Drive

The HMFA held it’s annual Thanksgiving Food Drive and Holiday Coat Drive again in 2008.

In November, we collected non-perishable items and money from our generous employees. The money was used toward the purchase of turkeys and additional non-perishable items. We were able to donate ten Thanksgiving meal baskets filled with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, biscuits, cranberry sauce, a turkey and desserts. The baskets were delivered to needy families in Architects Housing, an HMFA housing development located in Trenton, on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 and were greatly appreciated by the recipients.

Throughout the month of December, we collected coats, jackets, sweaters, gloves, scarves and hats for donation to Kingsbury Towers, another of our housing developments located in Trenton. HMFA employees donated enough to fill 4 large boxes with winter clothing. The boxes were delivered on Wednesday, December 17, 2008.  The occupants of Kingsbury Towers were pleased to receive the donations.

We plan to continue the Drives again next year. The generosity of the HMFA is truly appreciated by all involved.
